The Biggio Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning (Biggio Center) has announced the recipients of the 2026 Breeden Endowment Grants, recognizing Auburn University faculty members whose projects advance teaching and learning.

Established to encourage innovation in the classroom, the Breeden Endowment Grant program provides funding for faculty-led initiatives that enhance student learning, improve instructional effectiveness and promote evidence-based teaching practices. The grants support the development, implementation and assessment of creative instructional approaches that strengthen the educational experience for Auburn students.

Through a competitive review process led by the Teaching Effectiveness Committee, faculty proposals are evaluated for their potential impact on student success and their contributions to teaching excellence across disciplines.

"Our committee was genuinely impressed by the range and quality of this year's submissions," said Morgan Yordy, associate professor in the College of Nursing and chair of the Teaching Effectiveness Committee. "Faculty brought forward thoughtful, student-centered ideas that demonstrate how deeply they care about teaching at Auburn University. The Breeden Grants will help bring those ideas to life and enrich the learning experience for our students."

The 2026 Breeden Endowment Grant recipients represent a wide range of disciplines and approaches to teaching innovation. Their projects contribute to Auburn University's mission of preparing students for success through transformative educational experiences.

More information about this year’s recipients, including their abstracts, is available on the Biggio Center for the Enhancement of Teaching and Learning’s website.
