GEAR UP Achieve, a federally funded initiative led by Auburn University that serves nearly 7,000 current 8th grade students across Alabama, seeks to expand its umbrella of services through new educational partnerships geared toward students and families, educators and the wider community. GEAR UP Achieve students will continue to receive services through their senior year of high school and into their first year of postsecondary education (PSE), leaving a lasting impact on their future success.

“We’re excited about the impact GEAR UP Achieve services will have on our students over the life of the program and know with the right partners, their potential is limitless,” said Annette Scogin, GEAR UP Achieve director.

Interested vendor partners can respond to a request for information (RFI) soliciting educational programming that aligns with the goals of GEAR UP Achieve: to provide access to rigorous coursework that prepares students for PSE, assists students in completing critical steps for PSE, implementing an advising program to support students’ PSE aspirations, and increasing funding awareness and helping to navigate financial aid.

“We know there are many ways to achieve our GEAR UP Achieve goals through educational programming – whether through programs that emphasize character development, literacy, STEM, teacher professional development or college and career planning,” Scogin said. “By expanding our services, we will be able to creatively meet the needs of our students to help them achieve their PSE goals.”

A full description of submission requirements and evaluation criteria is available in the Educational Programming for GEAR UP Achieve RFI. Deadline for submission is Jan. 20.
